چکیده
Abstract Background Patients with intra-articular fractures tend to develop post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). The initial inflammatory response elevation of cytokines following joint trauma might be responsible for triggering cartilage catabolism and degradation. We aimed identify quantify cytokine levels in fractured healthy knee joints the correlation these clinical outcomes. Methods In this prospective cohort study, synovial fluid plasma were collected from 12 patients proximal tibia before surgery. concentration sixteen cytokines, two degradation products four metabolic mediators where measured, comparing acute injured contralateral knee. evaluated 3- 12-months after surgery parameters radiographical scanning. Non-parametrical Wilcoxon rank-sum Spearman tests used statistical analysis, a P -value below 0.05 was considered significant. Results found an pro-inflammatory IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12p70, TNF-α, IFN-y, MMP-1, MMP-3, MMP-9 simultaneous anti-inflammatory IL-1RA, IL-4, IL-10, IL-13 Several pro- correlated outcomes months surgery, especially pain perception. Conclusions Our results support that process occurs fractures, which is characterized by both cytokines. There no sign damage within timeframe injury operation. between reaction

The Comparison of Temperament of 3-12 Month Infants of Mothers with and without Mental Health
Background & Aims: The quality of interaction between mother and infant has an important role in the formation of infant's personality, social and cognitive functions, temperament and mental health in future. The quality of this reaction is not predictable and can be improved along the time. Thus, Knowing effective variables in this area can be very beneficial in its improvement. Method: In the...

متن کاملPartial proximal tibia fractures
Partial tibial plateau fractures may occur as a consequence of either valgus or varus trauma combined with a rotational and axial compression component.High-energy trauma may result in a more complex and multi-fragmented fracture pattern, which occurs predominantly in young people. Conversely, a low-energy mechanism may lead to a pure depression fracture in the older population with weaker bone...
متن کاملBehavioral characteristics in 3-12 month-old infants with Atopic Dermatitis: A case-control study
Background and aim: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic disorder that is most common in early childhood. Both immunological and psychological factors are important in AD pathogenesis and should therefore be taken into account. The aim of this study was to compare behavioral characteristics of 30 infants (3-12 month-old) with AD with 40 controls.Materials and Methods: Th...
